American Eskimo Dog

The American Eskimo Dog is believed to have originated from a variety of European Spitz breeds, and was first known as the American Spitz. The American Eskimo Dog is intelligent and fun, being a very family-oriented dog. Its beautiful all white coat is easier to care for than might be imagined, as it naturally resists soiling. It does require grooming, however, and will shed its coat in the spring. The Eskie is an excellent home guard, and is not afraid to sound off at those he does not recognize.
