Brussels Griffon

The Brussels Griffon may have as its ancestors the German Rat Dog and a variety of toy breeds. Its purpose was to keep the horse stable rodent population in check, but soon became a stylish pet in Belgium. A Brussels Griffon is curious, intelligent, and quite an alert watchdog. There are two varieties; rough and smooth coats. Both rough and smooth coats can appear in the same litter.
