Cairn Terrier

The Cairn Terrier comes from the Western Highlands of Scotland where it was bred to eradicate vermin. The word Cairn means ‘heap or pile of stones’, which is where it spent most of its time pursuing vermin. The Cairn Terrier has a happy disposition and is an active, hardy family dog. Its outer coat is harsh and weather resistant, and a Cairn is a perfect pet since it can adapt to almost any household.
