Neapolitan Mastiff

The Neapolitan Mastiff probably descended from the fighting Mastiffs of ancient Rome, and in turn of the Molussus dogs. A Neapolitan Mastiff is an exceptional guard dog that will defend home and family with vigor, but is equally friendly and docile with those it knows. A Neapolitan has a massive skull, heavy jowls with loose skin and wrinkles. An average male can weigh as much as 150 lbs., so it does take strength and skill to handle it.
