Mixed Dog Breed Items

There are many mixed dog breeds in the world. Mixed breed dogs can be wonderful pets when they are socialized and trained as puppies. Mixed dog breeds are at least a mixture of two dog breeds and often a multi-breed combination such as the 57 varieties of Heinz products. Many times, it is anyone's guess. This doesn't make the dog any less wonderful.

Interestingly, people give some mixed breeds names to help identify the type of dog. An example of mixes available are Yorkie-poos (Yorkshire Terrier-Poodle), Malti-poo (Maltese-Poodle), Cocker-poo (American Cocker Spaniel-Poodle), Schnoodle (Miniature Schnauzer-Poodle), and Labradoodle (Labrador Retriever-Poodle), said to retain the tight, non-shedding coat of the poodle, the easy-going temperament of the Labrador, and the intelligence of both breeds.

As with any dog, there are advantages and disadvantages with mixed breeds. Researching the breeds is always a good idea before taking one into your home.
