Old English Sheepdog

The Old English Sheepdog evolved crossing a Briard with a large Hungarian sheepdog, with the purpose of herding and driving sheep to market by English sheep farmers. It is known also as a Bobtail due to the docking of its tail to identify it as a working dog, and hence exempt from tax. An Old English Sheepdog is an even-tempered dog, good with both children and other animals. It is a playful, agile breed that enjoys outdoor games.
