Schipperke

The Schipperke originated in Belgium where it was busy guarding the canal barges at night. Schipperke, pronounced ‘skipper-key’, is Flemish for “little captain”. A Schipperke is a bright, affectionate family pet. It is good with children and a natural watchdog that requires a lot of exercise for its size.
